Getting there
BEYOND SBDN and WSND
Dear friends,

Get ready for an epic journey of learning, reflection, and collaboration as we delve into the depths of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and explore the promising horizons of the I World Symposium on Neglected Diseases. But wait... the adventure doesn't end there!

While you're here in Lavras, MG, prepare to indulge in a palette of experiences that go beyond the confines of the conference hall. Of course, we're here to dive deep into discussions and share insights, but we can also lose ourselves in the wonders of this enchanting region.

When the sessions are over and minds are exhausted from all the knowledge, it's time to recharge and explore! Perhaps arrive a day early or take advantage of Sunday to choose a nice outing.

Among the fun options to make the most of your free time, you can choose from tours of historic cities, visits to waterfalls, natural parks, coffee farm tours, or simply enjoy a good coffee shop in town.

So, my friends, get ready for a journey that goes beyond lectures and workshops. Minas Gerais is charming and welcoming, offering great opportunities to create unforgettable memories. We look forward to welcoming you to our community and making this experience as amazing as possible!

Shall we head to Minas?
Ecological Park
Quedas do rio bonito
Located 13km from downtown Lavras.

The park covers an area of 235 hectares with remnants of the Atlantic Forest of Serra da Bocaina, featuring various interconnected natural attributes such as terrain, fauna, flora, and a preserved natural area with waterfalls. It also offers infrastructure including swimming pools, a restaurant open on weekends and holidays, hiking trails, a lookout point with views of the entire park, and ample parking for visitors.
Central Region
When strolling through downtown Lavras, be sure to take some time to visit Praça Dr. Augusto Silva, designated as a cultural heritage site of the city in 2006.
Since the beginning of the last century, the area has been an important meeting point for the residents of Lavras and boasts an interesting landscaping. Here, the vibe is to sit on the benches and observe the city's peaceful atmosphere while walking among the trees. Additionally, the surrounding commerce offers options for souvenirs for family and friends.
